01Who can take part

Check these four things before you film.

  • You are 18 or over.
  • You live in the UK.
  • You have used Klario yourself, and you'll talk about your own experience.
  • You'll film the video yourself, with no one else in shot.

At this stage we can't accept videos from parents or carers, or videos that include anyone under 18.

02Your safety comes first

Please read before you film

Never put a video before looking after yourself.

  • Treat a low first, the way you normally would. Film later, when you feel back to yourself, and tell us about it.
  • Don't film during a low, or straight after a severe one. And don't delay treatment to get a shot.
  • You don't need to drink Klario on camera. Please don't have it just for the video.
  • Klario is a food, not a medicine. It isn't a substitute for medical advice or emergency treatment. Keep following your usual diabetes management and your care team's advice, and don't talk about Klario in the context of a severe hypo.

03What to talk about

A little about Klario

Klario takes a different approach to hypo recovery. It combines 15g of fast-acting carbohydrates to raise blood glucose with BHB, an alternative energy source to help fuel the brain. The thinking behind Klario is simple: recovery isn't just about getting your glucose back in range. It's about how you feel afterwards, too.

Choose one theme. A short video about one thing is easier to film and better to watch than one that tries to cover everything. These are ideas, not scripts. If you have a different story, tell us that instead, and keep it to one theme.

1Getting on with your day

Walk us through a normal day with Klario in it, whether you're working, travelling or at the gym. Where do you keep it, when do you reach for it, and what does the rest of your day look like afterwards?

2The hypo hangover

Your CGM might say you're back in range, but that doesn't always mean you feel like yourself. Describe what that feeling is like for you: the fog, the tiredness, the lost afternoon. Then tell us what the next few hours were like after you had Klario.

3The glucose rollercoaster

Ever had a low that turned into hours of watching your CGM and second-guessing? Tell us where Klario fits into those moments: when you reach for it, what you do while you wait, and what the next few hours look like for you. No need to show any readings.

4The emotional rollercoaster

Hypos aren't just physical. There's the frustration, the worry, the changed plans. Tell us how that feels for you, and what it's like to have Klario with you for those moments.

Need an opening line?

Here are a few ways in. Make them your own, and start with something real from your own life.

  • My blood sugar was back in range, but I still felt completely wiped out…
  • I've lived with diabetes for years, and this is the part of hypos nobody warns you about…
  • I never leave the house without this in my bag…
  • Ever had one hypo take over your entire afternoon?
  • This is what I keep close for when I go low…
  • Here's why I decided to give Klario a try…
  • I wish more people understood what the hours after a hypo are like…

04A few important do's and don'ts

We want you to speak naturally and honestly. Because Klario is used by people managing their health, and your video may appear on Klario's social media, website or in advertising, there are a few things we need to be careful about.

Do

  • Speak about your own genuine experience. "I noticed…", "For me…" and "I felt…" are great starting points.
  • Keep it personal: "This is what works for me, everyone's different" rather than "You should try this too."
  • Be specific. Real examples and everyday details make great videos.
  • Show us your real life. Your bag, your desk, your gym kit: wherever Klario actually lives.
  • Tell us what you like about it, whether that's the taste, the format or how easy it is to carry.
  • Share the practical and emotional sides of your experience, if you're comfortable doing so.
  • Be yourself. Pauses and little slips are fine. Real beats polished every time.

Don't

  • Say Klario treats, cures, prevents, fixes or eliminates hypos or their after-effects, or that it supports, aids or manages a medical condition. Don't promise results or claim it's safer, faster or better than anything else.
  • Use phrases like "clinically proven", "research shows" or "doctor-recommended", quote clinical statistics, or reference endorsements from clinicians, hospitals or the NHS.
  • Show or mention glucose numbers or CGM graphs, including readings on a phone, watch or sensor screen.
  • Give medical or dosing advice, or suggest changing anyone's usual diabetes management.
  • Mention other brands, make claims about what "most" or "many" people experience, or share other people's health experiences.

A few examples

Instead of sayingTry this instead
"Klario cures my hypos instantly.""Klario's part of my routine when I'm having a low."
"Klario completely gets rid of my hypo hangovers.""I felt much more like myself after using Klario."
"Klario gets me back to training faster.""I used Klario during a low and afterwards I felt ready to get back to my session."
"Klario is better than glucose tablets.""I like how convenient Klario is to carry and use."

The golden rule: tell us what you did, noticed or felt, rather than making promises about what Klario will do for everyone.

05Quick filming tips

Length
Aim for 30–60 seconds. Up to 90 is fine. The first few seconds matter most, so get to the point quickly.
Your first sentence
Tell us who you are in one line and what you're about to share. For example, "I've had type 1 diabetes for 12 years, and this is what a hypo does to my afternoon."
Format
Film vertically on your phone, at eye level, with your face clearly visible.
Product in frame
Hold the bottle up with the label facing the camera in the first few seconds, and say "Klario" out loud. Showing where you keep it works well too.You don't need to drink it on camera.
Lighting and sound
Find somewhere bright and quiet, ideally facing a window. Switch off the TV and radio.
Style
Talk as though you're telling a friend. No script, fancy equipment or editing needed.
Takes
One take is fine. Film two or three if you like, and send your favourite. Little slips are fine.
Please avoid
Music, filters, added text, other brands' logos, glucose numbers or CGM graphs, and anyone else in shot.

If something needs changing, we'll tell you what and give you a chance to film again.
